I have never written a negative review in my life, but my experience makes feel a responsibility to give a word of warning. I would give only one star but am leaving room for the possibility it was his honest understanding of the situation... I went in right near the end of April - a bit desperate because I had forgotten my inspection was expiring, and also a single woman with limited knowledge of car mechanics. My regular mechanic didn't have time and recommended Tabor. He told me I needed two fairly major things done to pass, both quite costly. I was reeling a bit but, thankfully, I had time to drive around for a few hours and miraculously found two different mechanics who were able to look and tell me that neither of those things was urgent, and one of them wouldn't have been required to pass inspection even if it had been needed. One of these other mechanics was able to do the inspection that day and passed the car with no problem. I will surely never go back to Tabor!

I'm 72 years old and have had numerous experiences with car repair shops, some good, some bad, but today ranks as one of the strangest visits I've ever had. I made an appointment on Wednesday for today Friday. I told the front desk person that I was experiencing a metallic jingle sound when I went over bumps or potholes. I told him twice. So today he said he found the problem and it was a rattling issue near the heat shield and it was fixed. When I picked up my truck the jingle sounds were still present and easy to hear. So I turned around and went back to let him know the sounds were still there but he said he didn't find any other issue besides the rattle near the heat shield. When I asked him if anyone took it for a ride he said no. So I asked him to briefly go up the street and he would see what I was talking about. To make a long story short he said he couldn't go and had no one else to go either. He basically had no interest in finding a solution for me and brought up irrelevant things that had no bearing on fixing the sounds I took the car there for. He was then becoming short with me and wanted to just end the conversation. This behavior doesn't match the good revie

I would leave negative 10 review if I could. Louis tried to sell me a new serpentine belt when I just had it replaced & it looks brand new …. Thankful I went back to my original mechanic who said I just replaced this belt & showed me the new belt. Don’t let them rip you off

This has to be the best mechanic shop I have ever had an interaction with. Super honest and super friendly and professional. I will be bringing my car here and only here moving forward.

Took my Nissan in for a P0101 code. They checked everything thoroughly and were very honest told me everything looked good and didn’t try to upsell or charge me just for an inspection. Really appreciate the transparency. Definitely recommend Taber Street Auto Repair.
